Julie Rowland-Brown, Pilates Instructor & Physical Therapist
Julie began dancing at the age of 3 and continued through high school, graduating from the New World School of the Arts. It was during this time that she battled with a persistent knee problem. She was introduced to pilates at the young age of 16 and instantly became a believer in this rehabilitative movement philosophy.
Julie received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Florida, where she graduated in 1997. She moved back home and studied physical therapy at the University of Miami while dancing professionally for one year. During 2001, she received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy and studied pilates with Polestar education. Julie worked in an outpatient orthopedic setting for 4 years as well as with a homecare agency that specialized in pediatrics. On the side, she began teaching pilates and decided to combine her passion for dance, dedication to healing and lifelong involvement in fitness.
After 10 years of running a successful studio and developing a loyal following, Julie has decided to start a new chapter at Conscious Movement. She is excited to work along side Deanndria and to continue to share her passion for this powerful conditioning program we know as Pilates!
